You Don’t Have To Navigate Alone

Wayfinding Therapy Center is a place for people who think, feel, or experience the world differently and for the families who love them. Therapy here isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about meeting you where you are, working together to understand what you need, and helping you feel more like yourself.

Your way. Your pace. Your Wayfinding.

Let's Talk

Why Wayfinding?

Long before GPS or compasses, people navigated open waters using the stars, the wind, changes in weather and their own intuition. These explorers combined their own knowledge with their intuition making adjustments as needed along the way.

Wayfinding isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about listening to yourself, moving through uncertainty at your own pace in order to make progress through life; even when the path isn’t clear.

You don’t have to explain or justify your struggles in order to validate your need for support.

If you’re ready, I’m here.

Welcome Note from Kim Lackey Wilson

Hi, I’m Kim—and I believe that therapy, at its best, is not about “fixing” people. It’s about remembering who we are, beneath the noise and the masks we’ve had to wear to survive. It's about finding our way home to ourselves.

I didn’t always know this was where I’d end up, but looking back, it feels inevitable. I’ve always been drawn to people’s stories—the messy, brilliant, beautiful middle parts that don’t make it into holiday cards or Instagram captions. I studied Communications and Psychology at Auburn University, then spent years as a teacher in Hillsborough County schools, learning firsthand just how many of us are expected to thrive in systems that weren’t built with our wiring in mind.
Eventually, I found my way to Colorado, where I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University.

Somewhere along that journey—through my own healing, heartbreaks, and awakenings—I realized this is the work I was always meant to do: to walk alongside people as they begin to trust that their inner compass still works, even if they’ve forgotten how to listen to it.
I love working with people of all ages, but I have a special place in my heart for children, teens, and those who’ve spent a lifetime feeling out of place—misunderstood, too sensitive, too much, or never enough. I know what it’s like to be told to sit still, follow the rules, and quiet your truth. And I know how powerful it can be to finally be met with presence, patience, and genuine curiosity.

I practice from a neuroaffirming, strength-based lens because I don’t believe healing comes from squeezing ourselves into someone else’s mold. It comes from honoring the way you’re already beautifully built—and learning how to work with, not against, that design. It comes from being seen. Being safe. Being believed.

I’m here to help you make sense of your story, untangle what’s heavy, and find new ways forward. If you don’t know where to start, that’s okay. You’re already on your way.

I’m currently a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in the state of Florida, and it would be an honor to work with you or your family. My hope is that this space—Wayfinding Therapy—feels like a soft landing. A place where you don’t have to know the destination, just that you're ready to start.

Let’s find your way. Together.

Here’s a list of the areas I specialize in—though you don’t need a diagnosis or a perfectly  worded reason to reach out. If something feels off, or if you’re just tired of doing it all on your  own, that’s enough.
